Nagesh’s story
At the young age of 19 when he should be taking care of his parents, Nagesh has given his family such pain that it comes in the form of tears from his mother’s eyes.
While riding a bike with his friends, Nagesh suffered an accident. After being hit by an auto rickshaw in an accident, he suffered a spinal injury that could last a lifetime. A spinal injury was diagnosed and he was hospitalized.
Although his mother takes care of him, she finds it difficult to watch him in this state. Their financial situation is not good, meaning how they will pay for the treatments scares the mother most.
“According to the doctors, his brain is completely damaged and recovery chances are extremely low,” her mother told VAAG. In addition, the doctor warned them not to hold any hopes for him to awaken, but we are unsure if that is true or not.
Her tears stream down her face as she says what can we do now that we have gotten this problem, we have to deal with it. A life-changing incident like this is an insurmountable challenge. We have very little to eat and survive, because there is no one who earns a living. Having been hospitalized for one month, he has not spoken a word and is lying on the hospital bed without moving.
